Voluntary Arbitration, provided for in Law no. 31/86, of 29 August, is one of the alternative forms of dispute resolution.

In arbitration, the parties, through a will agreement referred to as an arbitration agreement, submit the decision to arbitrators chosen by them, provided that the dispute is not exclusively assigned to a court or necessary arbitration and does not respect unavailable rights .
